Nibs sorted by the line they actually lay down, inks by how wet they run and how fast they dry, paper by weight and whether it feathers. Listed by what the combination does on the page, rather than by brand.
Line width, measured
Every nib is listed with the line it lays down in millimetres, measured on 80gsm, not the maker’s letter grade. An F from one brand is an M from another, so the letter on its own tells you very little.
Wet, dry, and in between
Inks carry a flow rating and a dry time on both coated and uncoated stock. Where a colour shades or sheens, the photograph shows it written on paper rather than sitting in the bottle.
Paper that does not feather
Weight in gsm, ruling in millimetres, and whether the sheet takes a wet nib without bleeding through. Tested with a broad nib and a saturated ink, which is the hardest case it will meet.
Everything is packed and shipped by us from our own packing room in the United States, usually within one business day, in recyclable packaging. We sell direct to customers only. There are no subscriptions and no memberships.
